Biography
Fernando Cordero Caballero was born in Modesto, California but lived most of his life in the country side of Orcutt, California. From a young age, Fernando had an embedded curiosity about the world and focused it towards his creativity. He began expressing himself upon paper, and took many art classes that explored the vast venues of Romanticism, Baroque and Renaissance art. During school, Fernando excessively discovered diverse forms of expression that challenged him to study different art mediums. It wasn’t until junior year of high school that he was introduced to the world of film by his most influential teacher; Mr. Garcia.
By the time he entered college; Fernando could not have enough of the film medium and decided to repeatedly take every film emphasis class that he could enroll. Fernando’s renaissance influence has led him to accomplish several art forms including; painting, drawing, animation, filmmaking and piano composition. All which enabled him to achieve award winning films and works of art.
Upon enrolling in California State University Northridge, Fernando indulged himself in the Cinema and Television Arts department; Film Option and became intricately involved. Presently, Fernando’s senior thesis film proposal has been accepted by the California State University Faculty committee which enabled him to direct his first Super 16mm project tited: The Pebble Beach. Currently, Fernando is collaborating and co-directing music videos with big names such as Ricky Harlow, The Dreaming. Fernando’s drive and curiosity about the world still grows throughout the years and heightens his determination to be a feature film director. |
