Judith Ehrhart My career started after the boys were grown. I became a planning coordinator for the Township of Wall assisting engineers, lawyers and site plans, it was a very interesting and regarding job. At the time I also enjoyed water color painting having the opportunity to study with well known artists at workshops. I also enjoyed quilting, knitting, and reading. My eyesight began to fall due to diabetes. I have glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, had cataracts removed, had laser treatment, injections and valve implant in one eye. I could no longer read maps or plans, so was forced to take an early retirement. For the next two years I worked at a friends quilt shop until I could no longer drive. By now my sons were both married and living in Upstate New York. So it was decided I should move. I am very happy I did so my New Jersey doctor recommended Dr. Simmons and Dr. Beer – Two excellent choices. There has been slight improvements to my eyesight. The Association of the Blind in Utica has been most helpful with me learning new ways to accomplish daily tasks. I bought a CCTV which goes without saying is a necessity. I am trying to paint again thanks to your encouragement.
